COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP

From reception to the bar to the show, every dance is staffed almost entirely by our committee members… and every committee member is required to be actively involved in the club in some way.  This leads to a strong sense of camaraderie and makes the club feel very personal.

​

Please be aware of the following

​

• Committee members are required to attend monthly meetings held from 7pm on the second Wednesday of every month at Marrickville.

• We have 5 dances per year. For each dance

  • Bump-In is from 9am for about two hours

  • Dance attendance is from 6pm to midnight

  • Bump-Out is from midnight for about one hour

  • Bar  staff must hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (the cost of obtaining one is covered by Pollys)

Working on bump-in and bump-out is mandatory for all committee members and a good level of fitness is required to complete these roles. Read more here about what is required.

Pollys is an incorporated association bound by a constitution and as such must be governed by an executive committee elected by the committee members. The current executive committee is:

If you are interested in becoming a committee member, please complete the form below.  Your application will be put to a vote and you then commence a three event probationary period. After that, you will be voted in as a full committee member.
